The Centre for Computing History

The Centre for Computing History is a museum in Haverhill, Suffolk, England, established to create a permanent public exhibition telling the story of the Information Age. The museum acts as a repository for vintage computers and related artefacts. Entrance is free and although open only by appointment, on display are key items from the early era of computers (and even before) from aging comptometers through the Altair 8800 to the Sinclair ZX Spectrum and Apple II series.

Haverhill (CVHR) railway station

Haverhill (CVHR) railway station was a station in Haverhill, Suffolk. It was a terminus on the Colne Valley and Halstead Railway. It was sometimes known as Haverhill South to distinguish it from Haverhill railway station on the Stour Valley Railway which also served the town. In 1924 passenger services were diverted to Haverhill North but the station continued to be served by freight trains until 1965. Since closure the station has been demolished and the site redeveloped.
