Hanham

Hanham is a village on the eastern outskirts of Bristol, England, located in the Constituency of Kingswood and situated on the A431 between Bristol, Bath and Keynsham. It is in the unitary authority of South Gloucestershire. It became a civil parish on April 1, 2003. The village is reputed to have one of the oldest public houses in Britain, The Blue Bowl - thought to have started life as a tavern for Roman soldiers.

Kingswood Borough

Kingswood was, from 1974 to 1996, a non-metropolitan district of the County of Avon, England. It was formed on 1 April 1974, under the Local Government Act 1972, by the merger of the Kingswood and Mangotsfield urban districts with Warmley Rural District from the administrative county of Gloucestershire. In 1987 the district was granted borough status.
