The Isle of Axholme is part of North Lincolnshire, England. It is the only part of Lincolnshire west of the River Trent. It is between the three towns of Doncaster, Scunthorpe and Gainsborough.

Haxey and Epworth railway station

Haxey and Epworth railway station was located near Haxey, Lincolnshire, England. It closed to passengers in 1959 and completely in 1964. From 2 January 1905, it provided an interchange with the Axholme Joint Railway, whose Haxey Junction station was immediately adjacent to it. Although the lines were connected, movement between the stations required two reversals. The interchange ceased on 1 February 1956 when the Haxey Junction to Epworth section of the Axholme Joint Railway was closed.

Owston Ferry

Owston Ferry is a village and civil parish in North Lincolnshire, England. It lies on the west bank of the River Trent, 9 miles north of Gainsborough, and has a total resident population of 1,128. Sometimes referred to in short as Owston or Ferry, the village, which forms part of the Isle of Axholme, is bounded to the west by the A161 road and the village of Haxey. The River Trent is directly to the east. To the north, beyond a number of hamlets and villages, lies the River Humber.

Epworth Show

The Epworth Show is an agricultural show in Epworth, Lincolnshire, England. It was started before the Second World War on "Battle Green". At the time is was a small event catering only for the local area. Over the years the show has grown and changed with the nature of what the local people wanted and expected.
