Willoughton Preceptory

Willoughton Preceptory was a holding of the Knights Templar in Lincolnshire, England. The preceptory stood at the farm still called Temple Garth. Willoughton, founded during the reign of Stephen, was the richest of the English houses of the Templars. After the suppression of the order in 1312 the house passed to the Hospitallers in 1338. It was dissolved in 1540, the lands passing to King's College, Cambridge.

Northorpe railway station

Northorpe railway station was a railway station in Northorpe, Lincolnshire, England. Although the station is now closed, the signal box here remains in use to supervise a level crossing and passing loop on the single track section of the route between Gainsborough Central and Kirton Lindsey. RAF Kirton in Lindsey

Royal Air Force Kirton in Lindsey or more simply RAF Kirton in Lindsey is a Royal Air Force airfield 15 miles north of Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. On 25 March 2013 it was announced to dispose of the airfield and technical facilities with only accommodation remaining. The airfield used to host No. 1 Air Control Centre (1ACC), the RAF’s only deployable ground-based early warning and air control radar unit, which was parented by RAF Scampton.
