Bessborough Reservoir

The Bessborough Reservoir lies to the south of the River Thames in Surrey near the Knight Reservoir and the Molesey Reservoirs. The A3050 runs to the north of the reservoir and the neighbouring town is Molesey. The reservoir lies within the borough of Elmbridge. The Bessborough and Knight Reservoirs were built by the Southwark and Vauxhall Waterworks Company, whose works were across the river at Hampton.

Knight Reservoir

The Knight Reservoir lies to the west of the Bessborough Reservoir, south of the River Thames and the A3050. The neighbouring town is Molesey. The Knight and Bessborough Reservoirs were built by the Southwark and Vauxhall Waterworks Company, whose works were across the river at Hampton. Work began in 1898 on the site of an old mansion called Apps Court, and the reservoirs opened in 1907. They have a combined area of 125.5 acres and hold 1,198 million gallons. It is operated by Thames Water.

Molesey Reservoirs

The Molesey Reservoirs were a group of reservoirs in England near Molesey, Surrey, in the western suburbs of London. There was an adjacent water treatment works. The reservoirs were adjacent to the River Thames on the south side on the reach above Molesey Lock. They are between the river and the A3050 (Hurst Road). On the other side of this road are the neighbouring Bessborough Reservoir and Knight Reservoir, and beyond these the Queen Elizabeth II Reservoir.

Hampton School Boat Club

Hampton School Boat Club is the rowing club of Hampton School. Each year the club produces 1st VIIIs that compete at Championship level in the United Kingdom. The club hosts two Head race events each year. The club was founded in 1956 and has its own boat house on the River Thames on the reach above Molesey Lock.

Platts Eyot

Platt's Eyot is an island on the River Thames at Hampton, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, England, on the reach between Molesey Lock and Sunbury Lock. The island was a typical ait used for growing osiers but was also used for dumping spoil from excavation of the Stain Hill Reservoirs, creating the large hill on the island's western end. There is a suspension bridge to the island from the Middlesex bank at Hampton.
