Heaton TMD

Heaton TMD is a railway Traction Maintenance Depot situated in the Heaton area of Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It is located next to the East Coast Main Line, around 2 miles east of Newcastle railway station. The depot is operated by Northern Rail, and mostly houses stock operated by them and Grand Central. The depot code is HT. The nearest Metro stations to Heaton Depot are Walkergate and Chillingham Road, whilst the nearest National Rail station is Manors.

Wallsend Metro station

Wallsend Metro station is located towards the centre of Wallsend, a town on the north bank of the River Tyne, in Tyne and Wear, England. The station was originally opened on 19 June 1839 by the Newcastle & North Shields Railway, and was reopened as a Tyne and Wear Metro station on 14 November 1982. When converted for Metro use, the unattractive station buildings were demolished, and the station was rebuilt in the standard Metro style.

Chillingham Road Metro station

Chillingham Road Metro station is located in the south of the Heaton area of Newcastle upon Tyne, and is served by the Tyne and Wear Metro service. It was originally to be called Parsons, reflecting its proximity to the Parsons engineering works. It is located adjacent to the tracks of Heaton TMD and the East Coast Main Line at the end of a long path from Chillingham Road, and is unusual in that electronic displays showing the arrival times of the next trains were only installed in 2009.
