Prittle Brook

The Prittle Brook is a brook in Essex, England. It appears to rise in Thundersley, just to the west of West Wood. Travelling eastwards, it flows through West Wood, then briefly under some properties before crossing Daws Heath Road. It then flows through private property before reaching Dodds Grove Nature Reserve and then into Great Wood, Belfairs Wood.

Roots Hall

Roots Hall is the home ground of the English Football League Two club Southend United. With a capacity of 12,392 Roots Hall is the largest football stadium in Essex, and is the current venue for the final of the Essex Senior Cup. Southend United are due to move out of Roots Hall into a new 22,000 seat stadium, though work has yet to begin on the new stadium.

Royal Saxon tomb in Prittlewell

The Royal Saxon tomb in Prittlewell is a high-status Anglo-Saxon tomb excavated at Prittlewell, north of Southend-on-Sea, in the English county of Essex. In the autumn of 2003, in preparation for a road-widening scheme, an archaeological survey was carried out on a plot of land to the north-east of Priory Park in Prittlewell. The archaeologists were lucky in the placement of their trench and uncovered a set of Saxon remains.

Southend Central Museum

The Central Museum is a museum in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England. The museum houses collections of local and natural history and contains a planetarium constructed by astronomer Harry Ford in 1984 . The museum was opened in April 1981 in a Grade II listed building that was previously Southend's first free public library. The library service had moved to a new purpose built site on Victoria Avenue, which opened on 20th March 1974 .
