RAF Lyneham

Royal Air Force Station Lyneham or more simply RAF Lyneham is a former Royal Air Force station located 6.3 miles north east of Chippenham, Wiltshire and 10.3 miles south west of Swindon, Wiltshire, England. It was the home of all the Lockheed C-130 Hercules transport aircraft of the Royal Air Force (RAF) before they were relocated to RAF Brize Norton. The station was also home to No. 38 Expeditionary Air Wing.

Wootton Bassett Mud Spring

Wootton Bassett Mud Spring is a 8,000 square metre geological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Wiltshire, England, notified in 1997. Wootton Bassett Mud Springs are oozing springs of cold, grey mud which blister up under a thin layer of vegetation. They can be found following a ten-minute walk by foot from the canal car park opposite Templars Way, along the Wilts and Berks Canal cut and then south across agricultural land.

Wootton Bassett Town F.C

Wootton Bassett Town Football Club are an English football club based in the town of Royal Wootton Bassett in Wiltshire. The club has three senior, one ladies, 19 youth and mini soccer and one girls teams and is affiliated to the Wiltshire County Football Association. The record match attendance was 2,103 versus Swindon Town in July 1991. The club's first team are currently members of the Hellenic League Division One West at level ten of the English football league system.

Spirthill

Spirthill is a small hamlet in the county of Wiltshire in England, situated 5 km to the south of Lyneham, it is too small to be defined as a village and has no specific 'centre'. It is on top of a hill with views over the Avon valley and the towns of Calne and Chippenham can be seen from some points.
