Borough of Halton

Halton is a local government district in North West England, with borough status and administered by a unitary authority. It was created in 1974 as a district of Cheshire, and became a unitary authority area on 1 April 1998. It consists of the towns of Widnes and Runcorn and the civil parishes of Hale, Daresbury, Moore, Preston Brook, Halebank and Sandymoor. The district borders Merseyside, Warrington and Cheshire West and Chester.

Port of Runcorn

The Port of Runcorn is in the town of Runcorn, Cheshire, England. It is situated to the west of a point where the River Mersey narrows, known as Runcorn Gap. Originally opening directly into the Mersey, with the building of the Manchester Ship Canal, it now links with this canal.

Runcorn railway station

Runcorn railway station is in the town of Runcorn in the unitary authority of Halton in the north west of England. The station lies on the Liverpool branch of the West Coast Main Line between Weaver Junction & Liverpool South Parkway and is managed by Virgin Trains. It is located a short distance south of the Runcorn Railway Bridge over the River Mersey on a section of line opened by the LNWR to create a new, more direct route between Liverpool & Crewe; the station opened on 1 April 1869.

Created and written by Susan Nickson it is set in the town of Runcorn in Cheshire, England, and originally revolves around the lives of five twenty-somethings. In September 2007 Little confirmed in an interview on This Morning that he had left the series.

Runcorn Rural District

Runcorn was a rural district in Cheshire, England from 1894 to 1974. http://www. visionofbritain. org. uk/relationships. jsp?u_id=10137159 It was named after but did not include Runcorn, a town on the River Mersey to the north-west of the district, which formed its own urban district. The district was abolished in 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972.
