Wythenshawe FM 97.2, also known as WFM, is a community radio station broadcasting primarily to Wythenshawe, Manchester and the surrounding south Manchester area. WFM was one of the first radio stations of its type in the UK, gaining a full-time licence in 2005. The station is run by volunteers from across Manchester.

Peel Hall, Wythenshawe
Peel Hall is an area of Wythenshawe approximately nine miles south of Manchester City Centre, and a mile or so north of Manchester Airport in North West England. Peel Hall is on the eastern boundary of Wythenshawe and borders onto Heald Green and Gatley (which are in the borough of Stockport, part of Greater Manchester). The area comprises both social housing and private housing, most of which were built in the 1950s and 1960s.
