Altamuskin

Altamuskin or Altamooskan (Irish: Allt a' Mhúscáin, meaning "Glen of the spongy ground") is a small village and townland in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is situated in the historic barony of Clogher and the civil parish of Errigal Keerogue and covers an area of 1165 acres. In the 2001 Census Altamuskin had a population of 75 people (24 houses). It lies within the Omagh District Council area. The population of the townland declined during the 19th century:

Errigal Ciarán GAC is a Gaelic Athletic Association Gaelic football club founded in 1990 when the four parts of the Errigal Ciaran parish; Ballygawley, Glencull, Garvaghey, and Altamuskin all joined together to unite as one club. in the town of Ballygawley, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. From 1928 until 1982, the parish of Ballygawley was represented by Ballygawley St. Ciaran’s, until a dispute arose within the parish, separating certain sections of the community.

Garvaghey

Garvaghey or Garvaghy is a townland and hamlet in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is between Ballygawley (about 5 miles to the southeast) and Omagh (about 11 miles to the northwest). It has a primary school called St Matthew's, a pub called Kelly's Inn, a shop and a Catholic chapel also called St Matthew's. The Poet John Montague was born in New York (28 February 1929) and was brought up in Garvaghey.

Sixmilecross

Sixmilecross is a small village in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. Its toponym is said to be derived from a Celtic cross that stood in a field at the top of the village and also from its distance of six Irish miles from Omagh. The original Irish name for Sixmilecross is 'Na Corracha Mora' meaning the round hills. Sixmilecross is one of the few villages in County Tyrone that lost all connect with its Irish root name.

Beragh Red Knights GAC

Beragh Red Knights (Irish: An Bearach na Craoibhe Rua) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club. The club is based in Beragh, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. The club concentrates on Gaelic football, a Ladies Gaelic football club is also in existence as is a Handball club and alley called Brackey. The senior team in 2008 competed in Division 3 of the Tyrone All-County Football League and played in the Tyrone Junior Football Championship.
