Heath Mynd

Heath Mynd is a hill in the English county of Shropshire. It is fairly unnotable except for its Marilyn status, a feature caused by the sharp drop on all sides. It is connected to Corndon Hill by a low col, and is only just inside England, being just one mile from the border with Wales. The nearby village is Norbury; nearest towns are Bishop's Castle and Church Stretton. Its nearest neighbour (visible in the photo) is called Cefn Gunthly.

Corndon Hill

Corndon Hill is a hill in Powys, Mid Wales, whose summit rises to 513 m above sea level. It is surrounded on three sides by the English county of Shropshire and forms a prominent landmark in the Wales-England border. Corndon's prominent western edge appears to form a separate hill and is known locally as Lan Fawr . The Bronze Age stone circles of Mitchell's Fold and the now largely destroyed The Whetstones lie at the foot of the hill within Shropshire.

River Onny

The River Onny is a river in Shropshire, England. It is a major tributary of the River Teme. The river has its sources in the Shropshire Hills at White Grit, located in Mid and South-west Shropshire. It has two branches, the East Onny and West Onny, which converge at Eaton, to the east of Lydham. The River Onny then flows in a South-easterly direction, through Craven Arms and Onibury, before it finally has its confluence with the River Teme just upstream of Ludlow at Bromfield.

Church Stoke

Churchstoke or Church Stoke is a large village in Powys, but adjacent to the English-Welsh border, on the junction of the A489 and A490 roads. It is overlooked by Todleth Hill, Roundton Hill and Corndon Hill. The rivers Caebitra and Camlad have their confluence just outside the village. The nearest town is Montgomery. The community of Churchstoke covers a wider area than the village. Recently the detached part of the community around Weston Madoc was transferred to Montgomery's community.

Mitchell's Fold

Mitchell's Fold (sometimes called Medgel's Fold or Madges Pinfold) is a Bronze Age stone circle in South-West Shropshire, located near the small village of White Grit on dry heathland at the south-west end of Stapeley Hill in the civil parish of Chirbury with Brompton, at a height of 1083 ft (330m) o.d. It is a Scheduled Ancient Monument (number 107448) in the guardianship of English Heritage.
