Llanwrtyd railway station

Llanwrtyd railway station serves the town of Llanwrtyd Wells, Powys, Wales. The station is on the Heart of Wales Line 53½ miles (86 km) north east of Swansea. The railway station is located at street level at Station Road near the town centre. Opened by the LNWR on 6 May 1867 (as part of the company's Central Wales Extension Railway project), it is the location of one of the route's five remaining passing loops.

Llanwrtyd Wells transmitting station

The Llanwrtyd Wells television relay station is sited on high ground by the hamlet of Cefn Gorwydd to the east of the village of Llanwrtyd Wells in Powys, mid Wales. It was originally built in the 1980s as a fill-in relay for UHF analogue television covering the communities of Llanwrtyd Wells, Cefn Gorwydd and the surrounding area. It consists of a 25 m self-supporting lattice steel mast standing on a hillside which is itself about 240 m above sea level.

Tirabad

Tirabad is a village in Powys, Wales. The name means "the abbot's land"; the village belonged to Strata Florida abbey in the Middle Ages. The village is located on the edge of the Crychan Forest and is 8 kilometres south of Llanwrtyd Wells and 18 kilometres north of Llandovery.

Llangammarch Wells

Llangammarch Wells or simply Llangammarch is a village in the parish of Llangammarch in Powys, within the historic boundaries of Brecknockshire, mid Wales, lying on the River Irfon. It is the smallest of the four spa villages of mid-Wales, alongside Llandrindod Wells, Builth Wells and Llanwrtyd Wells. The spa was focused on a barium well, which is now closed, but the village is still popular with anglers. The old village is centred around the parish church of St Cammarch.
