The University of Glamorgan is a university based in Pontypridd, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales with campuses in Trefforest, Glyntaff, Merthyr Tydfil, Tyn y Wern (The Glamorgan Sport Park) and Cardiff. The university has four faculties, and is the only university in Wales which has no current or former link with the University of Wales.

Rhydyfelin

Rhydyfelin (Mill Ford) is a large village and part of the community of Pontypridd, a town which is located around 2 miles to its north west, within the county borough of Rhondda Cynon Taf. It is sited along the eastern banks of the River Taff within close proximity to the A470, and historically was sited within the parish of Eglwysilan.

Dewi Sant Hospital

Dewi Sant Hospital (Welsh: Ysbyty Dewi Sant) is a small hospital in Pontypridd, South Wales. It is situated on Albert Road, the Graig, behind Pontypridd Railway Station. It is managed by the Cwm Taf NHS Trust and the headquarters of Cwm Taf NHS Trust area based in Dewi Sant Hospital. The tunnel mouth of Pontypridd Graig railway station, not used since 1930, is situated in the car park.

Old Bridge, Pontypridd

The Old Bridge (Welsh: Yr Hen Bont), which is now also known as the William Edwards Bridge or Pontypridd Bridge, was originally known as the New Bridge or Newbridge, it is an arched single-span footbridge that spans the River Taff at Pontypridd in Wales. The bridge was built by William Edwards and was completed in 1756. The bridge now has statutory protection as a scheduled ancient monument.
