Fort Mohave, Arizona

Fort Mohave is a CDP in Mohave County, Arizona. It is named for a nearby fort that was used during the Mohave War. As of the census of 2010, the population of Fort Mohave was 14,364. This was up from 8,919 in 2000. It is a micro-suburb of Bullhead City. Its recent growth has made it the most populous unincorporated community in Mohave County. The largest single employer in Fort Mohave is Valley View Medical Center.

Fort Mohave

The post, Fort Mohave, should not be confused with the town of Fort Mohave, Arizona. Fort Mohave was originally named Camp Colorado when it was established on April 19, 1859 by Lieutenant Colonel William Hoffman during the Mohave War. It was located on the east bank of the Colorado River, at Beale's Crossing, near the head of the Mohave Valley in Mohave County by the recommendation of Lieutenant Edward Fitzgerald Beale.

Mohave City, Arizona

Mohave City (also spelled as Mojave City) is a ghost town in Mohave County in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Arizona. Settled in the 1860s, in what was then the Arizona Territory, it was founded as a river landing and trading center for area miners and soldiers, and was named for Mohave County.

Mojave Road

The Mojave Road or Mojave Trail is a historic route and present day dirt road across what is now the Mojave National Preserve in the Mojave Desert in the United States. This rough road stretches 140 miles from the site of the old Fort Mohave (on the west bank of the Colorado River, roughly 10 miles southwest of Bullhead City, Arizona) to the site of the old Camp Cady (on the west bank of the Mojave River, roughly 12 miles northeast of Newberry Springs, California).

Avi Resort & Casino

The Avi Resort & Casino is a resort located at the very southern tip of Nevada, on the banks of the Colorado River between Laughlin, Nevada, United States, and Fort Mohave, Arizona, United States. It is within walking distance of the California and Arizona borders, but it is served by the Laughlin post office (which is actually further away). The casino is owned by the Fort Mojave Tribe. It has 465 rooms, a 25,000 sq ft casino, and a 260 space RV park with internet access.
