Bakersfield National Cemetery

Bakersfield National Cemetery is a United States National Cemetery located at 30338 East Bear Mountain Blvd, Arvin, California, in Kern County. It is approximately 20 miles east of Bakersfield. It is isolated from urban development by oak studded rolling hills in the Tehachapi Mountains. The cemetery has space to accommodate caskets and cremated remains on 500 acres (200 ha) of land.

Keene, California

Keene (formerly, Wells) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Kern County, California in the foothills of the Tehachapi Mountains at the southern extreme of the San Joaquin Valley. Keene is located 8.5 miles northwest of Tehachapi, at an elevation of 2602 feet (793 m). The population was 431 at the 2010 census, up from 339 at the 2000 census.

Bear Mountain (Kern County, California)

Bear Mountain is a peak in the Tehachapi Mountains, near Tehachapi, California. The mountain is north of Bear Valley Springs, and west of the Tehachapi Loop, a spiral on the railroad line through Tehachapi Pass. Much of the mountain is on land owned by the Keene Ranch.
