Seiad Valley, California

Seiad Valley is a small unincorporated town in Siskiyou County, California situated 15 miles south of the Oregon border. A population of approximately 300 people is clustered around the Klamath River, State Route 96 and spread out along the surrounding creeks. The three craggy peaks of the Lower Devil's look over the forested valley, which is completely surrounded on all sides by the green Klamath Mountains, just north of the Marble Mountains Wilderness area.

Bigfoot trap

What is believed to be the world's only Bigfoot trap is located in the Siskiyou National Forest in the southern part of Jackson County, Oregon, a few miles from the California state border. It was designed to capture a Bigfoot (or Sasquatch), the legendary hominid that is said to live in the forests of the Pacific Northwest.

Applegate Lake

Applegate Lake is a 988-acre reservoir located in the Rogue River – Siskiyou National Forest about 27 miles southwest of Medford in the U.S. state of Oregon. It is 16 miles south of Oregon Route 238 along Applegate River Road and slightly north of the Oregon–California border. The lake is an impoundment of the Applegate River about 46 miles from its confluence with the Rogue River.
