Conejos has the distinction of being the only unincorporated county seat in the State of Colorado. As of the 2010 Census, the CDP had a population of 58. The community is located in the San Luis Valley. Conejos is a historic site of Hispano settlement. A major historical and architectural feature of Conejos is the Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Church, founded in 1858.
