The City of Arvada is a Home Rule Municipality located in Jefferson and Adams counties in the Denver metropolitan area of the U.S. State of Colorado. Olde Town Arvada is located 7 miles northwest of the Colorado State Capitol in Denver. The 2010 United States Census recorded 106,433 residents, making Arvada the ninth most populous city in Colorado.

Westminster High School (Westminster, Colorado)

Westminster High School is a public secondary school (grades 9-12) operated by Adams County School District 50 in Westminster, Colorado, United States. At the end of 1996, it was also announced that all incoming freshman in the '08-'09 school year as well as all sophomores in the district that currently attended either Ranum or Westminster High School, would be attending the current Westminster High School campus, until the new building was finished, for the '10-'11 school year.

Lakeside, Colorado

The Town of Lakeside is a Statutory Town in Jefferson County, Colorado, United States, northwest of, and adjacent to, the City and County of Denver. The population was 8 at the 2010 census, making Lakeside the least populous incorporated town in the State of Colorado. The Denver Post Office serves Lakeside. The town's namesake lake is Lake Rhoda, which covers 20% of its total area.

Lake Rhoda

Lake Rhoda, on the eastern edge of Jefferson County, Colorado in the town of Lakeside, between Interstate 70 and West 44th Avenue, is a natural lake named after Rhoda Krasner by her father, Ben Krasner, who rescued Lakeside Amusement Park from bankruptcy during the Great Depression. The lake was originally named West Berkeley Lake.

Lakeside Amusement Park

Lakeside Amusement Park is a family-owned amusement park in Lakeside, Colorado near Denver. Originally named White City, it was opened in 1908 as a popular amusement resort adjacent to Lake Rhoda spearheaded by prominent Denver brewer Adolph Zang. Eventually the name was changed to Lakeside Amusement Park, but the local populace kept referring to it by its original name for its glittering original display of over 100,000 lights.
