Sassafras River

The Sassafras River is a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay on the Delmarva Peninsula in the United States. It is about 22 miles long and starts in western New Castle County, Delaware, and along the boundary between Cecil County, Maryland on the north and Kent County, Maryland on the south. It rises southwest of Middletown, Delaware and ends at the Chesapeake Bay in a wide mouth between Howell Point near Betterton, Maryland and Grove Point on Grove Neck.

Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve

The Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve consists of two unique components, one on Blackbird Creek and the other on the St. Jones River . Freshwater wetlands, ponds and forest lands dominate the Blackbird Creek component. The St. Jones component is dominated by salt marsh and open water habitats of the Delaware Bay. The reserve monitors long-term changes in weather and aquatic conditions in the estuary.

St. Andrew's School (Delaware)

St. Andrew's School is a private, Episcopal, co-educational boarding school located on 2,200 acres in Middletown, Delaware. The school enrolls 305 students in grades nine through twelve. Following the tradition of other Boarding schools, students refer to their "form" instead of their "grade. " Freshman are III formers while seniors are VI formers. James T. Vaughn Correctional Center

The James T. Vaughn Correctional Center (JTVCC), formerly the Delaware Correctional Center (DCC), is a state prison for men in unincorporated New Castle County, Delaware, USA, near Smyrna. It is the Delaware Department of Corrections's largest correctional facility for adult males. JTVCC houses some 2,500 minimum, medium, and maximum security inmates. It is also the primary facility for housing the Kent County pre-trial (detainee) population.
