The Avenues (shopping mall)

The Avenues is an indoor shopping mall located on the southside of Jacksonville, Florida at the intersection of U.S. 1 (Philips Highway) and Southside Boulevard near Interstate 95. The mall opened in 1990 with four anchor stores; Gayfers, Dillard's, JCPenney and Sears. The Gayfers anchor store was later converted to a Belk store. A Parisian department store was built later.

Bayard (Jacksonville)

Bayard is a historical community of Duval County, Jacksonville, Florida, US. Originally platted in 1884, the community was a busy stopping point for tourists and industry through the early part of the 20th century. In the early 2000s, the City of Jacksonville began developing The Bayard Community Plan in an effort to preserve the character of Bayard as Jacksonville expands towards the community.
