WSSY

WSSY is an FM station licensed to Pinehurst, Georgia. It shares studios and offices with WCEH, WDXQ and WQXZ in Hawkinsville, Georgia. The station, "Sunny 98.3", was first WFAV and later WKKN in Cordele, Georgia, and then WQXZ. The station moved its city of license after WMRZ Dawson, Georgia, signed on with 25,000 watts at 98.1 FM. Jim Popwell from Hawkinsville, the former owner of WSSY, was also the holder of the permit for the Dawson station.

WQXZ is a classic hits/oldies radio station licensed to Hawkinsville, Georgia, broadcasting at 103.9 MHz. Qixie 103.9 features "The Waking Crew" (hosted by "Doctor" Buddy Leach), weekday mornings from 6:00 AM 'till 9:00 AM, and Good News Gospel Music (hosted by Al Dube) Sunday from 6:00 AM 'till 12:00 Noon.
