Isaac Hale Beach Park

Isaac Hale Beach Park, also known as Pohoiki is an oceanfront park, boat launch and surf location along Pohoiki Bay in the Puna district of the Big Island of Hawaii. It is only one of a few places in the Southeast shore of Hawaii that allows for such facilities. Pohoiki Bay is known for its strong currents and although the park is known for good snorkeling, conditions are usually not ideal. The park was expanded and modernized in 2006.

Lava Tree State Monument

Lava Tree State Monument is a public park located 2.7 miles southeast of Pāhoa in the Puna District on the island of Hawaii. It preserves lava molds of the tree trunks that were formed when a lava flow swept through a forested area in 1790.
