Bonneville County, Idaho

Bonneville County is a county located in the U.S. state of Idaho. As of the 2010 census, the county had a population of 104,234. Its county seat and largest city is Idaho Falls. As the most populous county in eastern Idaho, Bonneville County currently ranks fourth in the state, behind Ada, Canyon and Kootenai. Bonneville County was established in 1911, named after Benjamin Bonneville (1796–1878), a French-born officer in the U.S. Army, fur trapper, and explorer in the American West.

Ririe Reservoir

The Ririe Reservoir is a reservoir located near Ririe, Idaho. It allows for irrigation, flood control, and provides recreational opportunities. In 1972 the Ririe Dam, built by the United States Bureau of Reclamation was the site of the first practical application of steel fibrous shotcrete, which was used to build a tunnel adit. The dam's total capacity is more than 100,000 acre-feet of water.

Ririe High School

Ririe High School is a public high school in Ririe, Idaho. Historically, it is notable for being the first school in USA history to sue to withdraw from a County School District. It won the suit in 1963 and formed its own independent school district, #252, with its own superintendent and school board.

Ririe, Idaho

Ririe is a city in Bonneville and Jefferson counties (mostly Jefferson) in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Idaho. It is part of the Idaho Falls, Idaho Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 656 at the 2010 census.

Caribou Mountains (Idaho)

Caribou Mountains are a mountain range in the Rocky Mountains in Idaho, United States. The mountains are in the Caribou National Forest in Bonneville and Caribou counties, near the Wyoming border. Named for Cariboo Fairchild, a prospector who had taken part in the gold rush in the Cariboo region of British Columbia in 1860. Fairchild discovered gold in this area of present-day eastern Idaho two years later.
