Indian Creek is a village in Vernon Township, Lake County, Illinois, United States. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area and was originally incorporated in 1958 as a response to the threat of annexation by neighboring Vernon Hills. As of the 2010 census, Indian Creek's population was 462. Police services are provided by contract by the Vernon Hills Police Department and fire/EMS services by the Countryside Fire Protection District.

Westfield Hawthorn

Westfield Hawthorn, formerly Hawthorn Center, is a shopping mall in Vernon Hills, Illinois. Its four anchor stores are Carson Pirie Scott, J. C. Penney, Macy's and Sears. The Marshall Field's store was renamed Macy's on September 9, 2006. The mall sits on land formerly occupied by the Hawthorn Mellody Dairy, which was owned by the Cuneo family. Its original anchors included Lord & Taylor, which closed in 1990 and sold its store to Carson Pirie Scott.
