WDSO (88.3 FM, "The Rock") is a radio station located at Chesterton High School, in Chesterton, Indiana. The transmitter is located at Chesterton Middle School . WDSO is a non-profit high school station. All of the disc jockeys are high school students, ranging from freshmen to seniors. To be a part of the radio station, students must take the semester long Introduction to Radio/Video class . To become a DJ, the student must complete a series of Learn/Test tasks.

WBEW is a non-commercial educational (NCE) public radio station on 89.5 MHz at Chesterton in Northwest Indiana. Since June 2007, the station has been the broadcast element of Vocalo, broadcasting primarily uploaded or e-mailed user-generated content; other Vocalo content is on the web but not broadcast over the FM station. It is owned by Chicago Public Media and is a sister station to WBEZ in Chicago. Vocalo. org hosts play content that listeners upload to the Vocalo.

Enchanted Forest (Indiana)

Enchanted Forest was a small amusement park operated in Chesterton, Indiana. The park operated from 1957 to 1991. Many rides were moved to Little Amerricka amusement park in Wisconsin after the park closed on August 2, 1991. The park became Splash Down Dunes Water Park in 1994. Splash Down Dunes itself closed down in 2009 after an ownership dispute; the original owner regained ownership in 2010 but the park remains closed.

Porter is a town in Westchester Township, Porter County, Indiana, United States. The population was 4,858 at the 2010 census. Porter is noted for its proximity to the Indiana Dunes State Park and for its railroad heritage. Porter was the southern terminus for the Chicago and West Michigan Railway.
