Stilwell, Kansas

Stilwell is a small unincorporated community in Johnson County in the U.S. state of Kansas. It is a southern outlying suburb of Kansas City. Stilwell was named for a conductor on the first Missouri Pacific train to arrive in the community in the 1870s. Stilwell is mostly farmland, but in recent years has spawned suburban neighborhoods. The Aubry Township Board has stated that by 2010, most of Stilwell will be urban.

KCTO

KCTO (1160 AM, "La Super X") is an American radio station licensed to serve Cleveland, Missouri, USA. The station is owned by the Alpine Broadcasting Corporation. KCTO is operated by the Ramirez Group under a local marketing agreement. KCTO broadcasts a Spanish-language Regional Mexican music radio format to the greater Kansas City metropolitan area. Until March 2011, the station simulcast the talk radio programming of sister station KCXL (1140 AM).

Powell Observatory

Powell Observatory is an astronomical observatory located near Louisburg in Miami County, Kansas, near Kansas City. It features several large telescopes and is available for public viewing, for private use of Astronomical Society of Kansas City members, and for ongoing research projects. The observatory, located in Lewis-Young Park just north of Louisburg, was built in 1984 by members of the Astronomical Society of Kansas City (ASKC).
