Shreveport Regional Airport

Shreveport Regional Airport is a public use airport in Shreveport, Louisiana, United States. It is owned by the City of Shreveport and located four nautical miles (7 km) southwest of its central business district. The airport's runways and terminal are visible to traffic along Interstate 20, a main east-west corridor of the Southern United States. Shreveport Regional was designed to replace the Shreveport Downtown airport, which limited growth due to close proximity of the Red River.

Louisiana State University in Shreveport

Louisiana State University in Shreveport (LSU Shreveport or LSUS) is a branch of the Louisiana State University System in Shreveport, Louisiana. Opened in 1967, LSUS is the only public four-year university in the Shreveport-Bossier metro area. The school, with more than 4,600 students, is a multipurpose system of higher education, accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and exerting a major influence on the economic, social, and cultural life of its citizens.

Independence Stadium (Shreveport)

Independence Stadium is a stadium owned by the city of Shreveport, Louisiana and is the home of the Independence Bowl. Formerly known as State Fair Stadium, it is the site of the annual Independence Bowl post-season college football game, initially the Bicentennial Bowl. Before that, it was the home venue of the Shreveport Steamer of the short-lived World Football League (1974–75). It also served as a neutral site for the annual Arkansas–LSU football rivalry from 1925–1936.

Hirsch Memorial Coliseum

The Hirsch Memorial Coliseum is a 10,300-seat multi-purpose arena in Shreveport, Louisiana. It was built in 1954. It is located adjacent to the Independence Bowl stadium and across from Fair Park High School in Shreveport. The Hirsch was home to the Shreveport Mudbugs ice hockey team, from 1997, until they moved to the CenturyTel Center, in Bossier City in 2000.
