WMEB-FM

WMEB-FM is a non-commercial American radio station owned and operated by the University of Maine. WMEB became an official radio station in January 1964 when the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) licensed the station to operate on the frequency of 91.9 mHz FM, and its callsign became WMEB-FM. Originally broadcasting between 4pm and 10pm, WMEB was a "mix of music, news, and informational programming. " The station remained with this format throughout most of the 1960s.

Collins Center for the Arts

The Collins Center for the Arts, formerly the Maine Center for the Arts (MCA), is a performing arts center and concert hall located on the campus of the University of Maine in Orono, Maine, USA. It has been operating since 1986, hosting both local and national artists. The Center is the home of the Bangor Symphony Orchestra, the oldest continually-operating community orchestra in the US, founded in 1896. The UMaine performing arts groups are also based there.

Maynard F. Jordan Observatory

Maynard F. Jordan Observatory is an astronomical observatory owned and operated by University of Maine. Its first telescope was installed at the university in 1901. It is located in Orono, Maine, USA. It is the only public observatory in the state of Maine, USA. Operated by the department of Physics and Astronomy, the eight-inch Alvan Clark telescope is housed under a twelve-foot dome.
