South Portland High School is a secondary school located in South Portland, Maine. The current building was erected in 1952, with a gymnasium added in 1958, an annex in 1962, and an auditorium and cafeteria in 1997. http://renewsphs. org/13/the-brief-history-of-south-portland-high-school/ The building that had previously housed the high school became Mahoney Middle School. The current high school building is in poor repair, endangering the high school's accreditation.

Cape Elizabeth is a town in Cumberland County, Maine, United States. Often regarded as the wealthy enclave of Southern Maine, the town is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine metropolitan statistical area. As of the 2010 census, Cape Elizabeth had a population of 9,015. Cape Elizabeth is the location of the Beach to Beacon 10K road race that starts at Crescent Beach State Park (the "beach") and ends at Portland Head Light (the "beacon").

Cushing Island, Maine

Cushing Island, or Cushing's Island, is a privately owned island in Casco Bay in the U.S. state of Maine. Part of the city of Portland, Maine, roughly 45 families live there seasonally. In 1623-24 English explorer Christopher Levett built a blockhouse on the island, part of 6,000 acres granted him by the English King. Levett left behind a group of settlers to carry on after he returned to England. But the naval captain and adventurer never returned, and the fate of the men is unknown.
