Skillin Elementary School

Skillin Elementary School is an elementary school (grades K–5) in South Portland, Maine. As of 2005 it has over 380 students. The school is named for Dr. Waldo T. Skillin, a South Portland physician. The school accepts English as a Second Language students from across the city, and has special education programs for K–7 autistic children and K–2 emotionally disabled students.

Fore River (Maine)

The Fore River is a short horn-shaped estuary, approximately 5.7 miles long, separating Portland and South Portland in Maine in the United States. Many of the port facilities of the Portland harbor are along the estuary, which is formed just southwest of Portland by the confluence of several creeks. The estuary was initially known as Levett's River, so named by the first English settler of the Casco Bay region, Capt. Christopher Levett.
