The Enchanted Forest is a now-closed theme park in Ellicott City, Maryland, on U.S. Route 40 (Baltimore National Pike) near the intersection with Bethany Lane. Other theme parks with the same name have since opened elsewhere. Centennial High School is a secondary school in Ellicott City, Maryland that opened in 1977. The school is based in Howard County and is part of the Howard County Public Schools system. Starting with the 2009 school year, the school principal is Carl Perkins. A previous principal was Lynda Mitic, who took up the post in 1996 and retired in 2004, shortly before a civil rights lawsuit was brought by English teacher Michelle Maupin, claiming racial discrimination.
