Garrett College

Garrett College is a two-year college located in McHenry, Garrett County, in far western Maryland. Established in 1967 as Garrett Community College, it opened its doors in 1971, and took its present name in 2002. Taking advantage of its scenic surroundings and nearby Deep Creek Lake, Wisp Ski Resort and the Adventure Sports Center International, Garrett College offers an unusual Associate's Degree in Adventure Sports.

Adventure Sports Center International

Adventure Sports Center International is an Olympic standard white water rafting and canoe/kayak slalom center located on the mountaintop above the Wisp Ski Resort at Deep Creek Lake, McHenry, Maryland, USA. Deerfield, Garrett County, Maryland

Deerfield is a community located in rural western Maryland. The community comprises 35 lots located in scenic Garrett County. The community was originally formed and developed by the Frye/Gross Partnership in 1980 and largely remained undeveloped until a trailblazer by the name of John Case built a small log cabin on lot 12 in 1995. Since that time the community has seen a small building boom. Although all lots are sold, there are currently only 13 lots developed.
