Lawrence Academy at Groton, (occasionally called LA), is a co-educational preparatory school located in Groton, Massachusetts, in the United States. Founded by Samuel Lawrence in 1792 as Groton Academy, and chartered in 1793 by Governor John Hancock, Lawrence is the tenth oldest boarding school in the United States, and the third in Massachusetts, following Governor Dummer Academy (1763) and Phillips Academy at Andover (1778).

Lost Lake is a reservoir in Groton, Massachusetts, United States. It was formed from three lakes by the headwaters of Salmon Brook. At its deepest in Knop's Pond, it is near 30 feet deep.

Nashua River Rail Trail

The Nashua River Rail Trail is a 12.5-mile paved mixed-use rail trail in northern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire under control of the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). It roughly follows the course of the Nashua River, passing through the towns of Ayer, Groton, Pepperell, and Dunstable, Massachusetts and ends about a mile across the New Hampshire state border in Nashua, New Hampshire.

Ayer High School

Ayer Shirley High School is located in Ayer, Massachusetts. The school colors are maroon and white, and the mascot is the Panther. Ayer High School was built in three parts: the high school (which is now the high school and the middle school), the middle school, and the primary school (the old middle and primary school now make up Page/Hilltop Elementary School). Brian Haas, formerly the Middle School Principal, is now the High School Principal. His Assistant Principal is Al Varga.
