Buena Vista is an unincorporated community within Buena Vista Charter Township, Saginaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The U.S. Census Bureau has defined a census-designated place (CDP) with the same name for statistical purposes. The CDP has no official status as a municipality and the boundaries defined by the Census Bureau may not precisely correspond to local understanding of the Buena Vista area.

Fort Saginaw Mall

Fort Saginaw Mall was an enclosed shopping mall located in Buena Vista Township, just outside the city of Saginaw, Michigan, United States. Opened in 1966, the mall served as Saginaw's only enclosed mall until Fashion Square Mall opened on the other end of town in 1972. Fort Saginaw Mall had become a dead mall by the 1980s, as many of its stores had closed. By the end of the 1990s, the entire mall was closed off, except for an attached Kmart which remained open until May 2004.

Dow Event Center

The Dow Event Center (formerly known as The Saginaw County Event Center, formerly known as The Saginaw Civic Center) is in downtown Saginaw, Michigan. The center consists of several parts: The Atrium, The Garden Room, Heritage Theater, The Unity Hall, and Wendler Arena. It also houses the OHL junior ice hockey team Saginaw Spirit. In 2008 served its first year as host to the Ultimate Indoor Football League's Saginaw Sting.

WILZ

WILZ (104.5 FM, "Wheelz 104.5") is a radio station broadcasting a classic rock format in Saginaw, Michigan, owned by Cumulus Media. The station is the local affiliate of the syndicated programs The Bob and Tom Show. Former syndicated program Nights with Alice Cooper ended in the beginning of March, 2012. WILZ can be heard in the Northern thumb area, around their niche market, Saginaw/Bay City. It reaches farther south through the Flint and Lapeer county areas.
