St. Clair County is a county in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the population was 163,040 according to the U.S. Census Bureau, it forms part of the Metro Detroit area. Geographically, it lies in the Thumb area of Michigan. The county seat is Port Huron. The county was created 10 September 1820 and its government was organized in 1821.
