McKinley Bridge

The McKinley Bridge is a steel truss bridge across the Mississippi River. It connects northern portions of the city of St. Louis, Missouri with Venice, Illinois. It opened in 1910 and was taken out of service on October 30, 2001. The bridge was reopened for pedestrian and bicyclists on November 17, 2007 with a grand re-opening celebration. Since December 2007, McKinley has been open to vehicular traffic as well.

Crown Candy Kitchen

Crown Candy Kitchen, is a restaurant located on St. Louis Avenue in the Old North St. Louis neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. The restaurant was founded in 1913 by two Macedonian immigrants, and is still run by the three grandsons of Harry Karandzieff, Andy, Tommy, and Mike. This Saint Louis landmark is the oldest operating soda fountain in the metro area, and one of the oldest in the country. The restaurant has an old-fashioned decor with a Coca-Cola memorabilia from the 1930s.

Old North St. Louis

Old North St. Louis is a neighborhood just north and very slightly west of the downtown area of St. Louis, Missouri. Known for the landmark Crown Candy Kitchen, historic 19th century brick homes, and its award-winning community gardens, Old North St. Louis is home to a diverse and active community. The neighborhood now known as Old North St. Louis was established as the independent village of North St. Louis in 1816 and was annexed by the City of St. Louis in 1841.

Merchants Bridge

The Merchants Bridge is a rail bridge crossing the Mississippi River in St. Louis, Missouri owned by the Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis. It opened in May 1889 and crossed the river three miles (5 km) north of the Eads Bridge. The bridge was originally built by the St. Louis Merchants Exchange after it lost control of the Eads Bridge it had built to the Terminal Railroad.

New Mississippi River Bridge

The New Mississippi River Bridge is a bridge under construction across the Mississippi River between St. Clair County, Illinois and the city of St. Louis, Missouri. The structure will relieve traffic on nearby bridges, most importantly the Poplar Street Bridge, which carries I-55, I-64, I-70, and US 40. The bridge is of a cable-stayed design and will have a main span of 1,500 feet (457 m).
