Callaway County, Missouri

Callaway County is a county located in Central Missouri in the United States. As of the 2010 U.S. Census, the county's population was 44,332. Its county seat is Fulton. The county was organized November 25, 1820, and named for Captain James Callaway, grandson of Daniel Boone. Callaway was killed fighting Native Americans in 1815. Callaway County is also referred to as "The Kingdom of Callaway" after an incident in which residents confronted Union troops during the U.S. Civil War.

Fulton, Missouri

Fulton is a city in Callaway County, Missouri, the United States of America. It is part of the Jefferson City, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 12,790 in the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Callaway County. Winston Churchill made his famous "Sinews of Peace" speech in Fulton at Westminster College in 1946.

William Woods University

William Woods University (WWU) is an American co-educational, independent, private university in Fulton, Missouri with 3,800 students.
