Twin Bridges, Montana

Twin Bridges is a town in Madison County, Montana, United States. It lies at the confluence of the Ruby, Beaverhead and Big Hole Rivers which form the Jefferson River. Twin Bridges is a well known fly fishing mecca for trout fisherman. The population was 375 at the 2010 census.

Golden Sunlight mine

The Golden Sunlight mine is an open pit gold mine in Jefferson County, Montana, approximately 25 mi east of Butte, Montana. The mine sits at an elevation of 6,000 ft on the Bull Mountain range. The mine has been in operation since 1975, and in 2008, the mine produced 120,000 ounces of gold. The mine's proprietors estimate reserves at approximately 540,000 oz . The mine processes gold-ore at nearby facilities in Whitehall. In total, mine operations employ approximately 150 people.
