Disappearance of Maura Murray

Maura Murray disappeared on February 9, 2004, after a one-car accident on New Hampshire Route 112 in Haverhill, New Hampshire. Murray, a nursing student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, left campus on the afternoon of her disappearance after telling her professors and her work supervisor by e-mail that she was taking a week off because of a family emergency.

Wild Ammonoosuc River

The Wild Ammonoosuc River is a tributary of the Ammonoosuc River, about 15 miles long, in northwestern New Hampshire in the United States. Via the Ammonoosuc River, it is part of the watershed of the Connecticut River, which flows to Long Island Sound. The Wild Ammonoosuc flows for its entire length in Grafton County.

Woodsville, New Hampshire

Woodsville is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Haverhill in Grafton County, New Hampshire, U.S. , along the Connecticut River at the mouth of the Ammonoosuc River. The population was 1,126 at the 2010 census. Although North Haverhill is now the county seat of Grafton County, the village of Woodsville has traditionally been considered the county seat, as the county courthouse was originally located there.
