Bayside State Prison
Bayside State Prison (BSP) is a state prison for men located in Leesburg, Maurice River Township, New Jersey. The prison was originally the Leesburg State Prison. In 1988, the prison was renamed to "Bayside State Prison. " Some Leesburg residents stated dissatisfaction with the renaming since it was the only widely known aspect of the Leesburg community.

East Point Light
The East Point Light, known as the Maurice River Light before 1913, is a lighthouse located in Heislerville, New Jersey on Delaware Bay at the mouth of the Maurice River. The light was inactive from 1941 and was nearly destroyed by fire in 1971. The light was reinstated by the United States Coast Guard in 1980. Exterior restoration was completed in 1999. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places as Maurice River Lighthouse, reference #95001047.

Maurice River
The Maurice River is a tributary of Delaware Bay in Salem County, New Jersey in the United States. The Maurice River, pronounced "Morris", is approximately 39.2 miles long and is the second longest and largest tributary to Delaware Bay. Its watershed includes an extensive southern portion of the coastal forested wetlands known as the Pine Barrens. Its mouth on Delaware Bay is surrounded by extensive salt marshes and has provided an historically important oystering ground.
