Hopewell, New Jersey

Hopewell is a borough in Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 1,922, reflecting a decline of 113 (-5.6%) from the 2,035 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 67 (+3.4%) from the 1,968 counted in the 1990 Census. Hopewell was incorporated as a borough by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 14, 1891, from portions of Hopewell Township, based on the results of a referendum held on March 21, 1891.

Hopewell Valley, New Jersey

Hopewell Valley is a group of communities in Mercer County, New Jersey loosely affiliated through municipal service sharing agreements, all of which send their students to the Hopewell Valley Regional School District. The area referred to as Hopewell Valley comprises the township of Hopewell (2000 census population of 16,105), the Borough of Hopewell (2,035), the Borough of Pennington (2,696), and the unincorporated census-designated place Titusville (which is within Hopewell Township).

Lindbergh kidnapping

The kidnapping of Charles Augustus Lindbergh, Jr. , the son of famous aviator Charles Lindbergh and Anne Morrow Lindbergh, was one of the most highly publicized crimes of the 20th century. The 20-month-old toddler was abducted from his family home in East Amwell, New Jersey, near the town of Hopewell, New Jersey, on the evening of March 1, 1932. Over two months later, on May 12, 1932, his body was discovered a short distance from the Lindberghs' home.

Stony Brook Millstone Watershed Arboretum

The Stony Brook Millstone Watershed Arboretum is an arboretum maintained by the nonprofit Stony Brook Millstone Watershed Association, and located at 31 Titus Mill Road, Pennington, in Mercer County, New Jersey. It is open daily without charge. The arboretum is located within the association's 860-acre nature reserve.
