Pomona is a census-designated place and unincorporated community located within Galloway Township, in Atlantic County, New Jersey. At the 2010 United States Census, the CDP population was 7,124. Locally, the name "Pomona" is loosely used also to refer to areas adjacent to Pomona proper, including small portions of Hamilton Township and Egg Harbor Township in the vicinity of the Atlantic City International Airport.

AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Mainland Division

The AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Mainland Campus is a 323-bed hospital, opened in 1975, and located in Pomona, in Galloway Township. Situated on the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey campus, the Mainland Campus experienced a 44 percent growth in admissions from 1986 to 1992. The Mainland Campus completed a $16 million modernization or renovation project in early 1992.

WLFR

WLFR is a college radio station broadcasting a Variety format. Licensed to Pomona, New Jersey, USA, the station serves the Atlantic City area. The station is currently owned by Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. The call letters stand for "Lake Fred Radio," named after a lake located on campus. The station began broadcasting on October 16, 1984, a few weeks after having been granted its license by the FCC on October 3, 1984.
