It was once part of a Catholic monastery, but has been converted to suit Buddhist monastic practices. While the Bodhi Manda Zen Center is Japanese in origin, led by Kyozan Joshu Sasaki Roshi, all of its members are English-speaking. Formal training is offered in the spring and fall.
