Adler Hotel

The Adler Hotel was a 150-room, five-story hotel in Sharon Springs, New York that was operated from 1929 until 2004. Known for its therapeutic sulfur baths, it catered primarily to a Jewish clientele who travelled to Sharon Springs in the summers. Ed Koch worked as a busboy at the hotel in 1946. It is also known as the Hotel Adler.

The signal coverage area includes the Capital District of Albany, the Mohawk Valley, Oneonta, and Utica/Rome. The transmitter tower is located about 3 miles (5 km) east of Cherry Valley village. The format of the station includes Christian talk and ministry programs, along with southern gospel music.

Sharon Springs, New York

Sharon Springs is a village in Schoharie County, New York, United States. The population was 547 at the 2000 census. Its name derives from the hometown of the first Colonial settlers, Sharon, Connecticut, and the important springs in the village. Sharon Springs, Kansas likewise was settled by former residents of this Upstate New York village. The Village of Sharon Springs sits in the northwest part of the Town of Sharon, New York, approximately 50 miles west of Albany, the state capital.

Cherry Valley massacre

The Cherry Valley massacre was an attack by British and Iroquois forces on a fort and the village of Cherry Valley in eastern New York on November 11, 1778, during the American Revolutionary War. It has been described as one of the most horrific frontier massacres of the war. A mixed force of Loyalists, British soldiers, Seneca and Mohawks descended on Cherry Valley, whose defenders, despite warnings, were unprepared for the attack.
