Trump Plaza (New Rochelle)

Trump Plaza (New Rochelle) is a 40-story luxury residence located in downtown New Rochelle, New York. The building was designed by the Lessard Group, a nationally recognized architectural firm. It was built by Cappelli Enterprises, the same developer that built Trump Tower at City Center in nearby White Plains. Trump Plaza was the tallest building in Westchester County and the tallest building between New York City and Albany until the 44-story Ritz-Carlton Tower in White Plains was built.

Fort Slocum (New York)

Fort Slocum, New York was a US military base which occupied Davids' Island in the western end of Long Island Sound in New Rochelle, New York from 1867 - 1965. The fort was named for Major General Henry W. Slocum, a Union corps commander in the American Civil War.

Davids' Island (New York)

Davids' Island is a 78-acre island off the coast of New Rochelle, New York, in Long Island Sound. Currently uninhabited, in the past it was the site of Fort Slocum. Plans are to preserve the island as public parkland under the Westchester County Parks system. The island is home to the endangered Kemp's Ridley sea turtle, and rare birds such as osprey and least terns. Davids' Island also supports valuable wetlands, rare rocky intertidal areas, and sandy beaches.

The Pelham Islands

The Pelham Islands is a historical name for a group of islands in western Long Island Sound that once belonged to Thomas Pell. The main islands in the group are City Island, Hart Island, Hunters Island, Twin Island, Goose Island, Davids' Island, High Island, Rat Island, the Chimney Sweeps, the Blauzes and Travers Island. City Island is by far the largest, and the only one currently populated. The 235-acre island was originally known as "Great Minnefords" before the Revolutionary War.

New Rochelle (Metro-North station)

The New Rochelle (Metro-North Railroad) station serves New Rochelle, New York, via the New Haven Line. Amtrak's Northeast Regional also stops at the station en route to Boston and Washington, DC, serving riders from northern New York City and Southern Westchester who use New Rochelle as a closer alternative to Penn Station. There is also a bus stop for Bee-Line Bus System buses.
