Lancaster is a village in Erie County, New York, United States. As of the 2010 census, the village population was 10,352. It is part of the Buffalo–Niagara Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Village of Lancaster is in the west part of the Town of Lancaster and is east of Buffalo, New York. The Lancaster Opera House is locally famous for its musicals and stage plays. The current mayor is Paul Maute.

Depew, New York

Depew is a village in Erie County, New York, United States. The population was 15,303 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Buffalo–Niagara Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. The village is named for Chauncey Mitchell Depew (1892), the President of the New York Central Railroad and later a US Senator (1899-1911) who was one of the original investors who bought the land for the village which was incorporated in 1894.

Terminal Railway of Buffalo

The Terminal Railway of Buffalo was a part of the New York Central Railroad system southeast of Buffalo, New York. It built the Gardenville Branch or Gardenville Cutoff, allowing through trains to bypass Buffalo. The cutoff has since been abandoned in favor of other parallel lines.
