Duane is a town in Franklin County, New York, United States. The population was 174 at the 2010 census. The town is named after James Duane, a developer and grandson of New York City Mayor James Duane. Titus Mountain

Titus Mountain or Titus as it is colloquially known, is a popular downhill ski area on a foothill of 2,204 feet Titusville Mountain, 7 miles south of the Village of Malone, in the Town of Malone, in Franklin County, New York. The area has a base elevation of 990 feet, summit elevation of 1,560 feet and a vertical drop of 570 feet . Titus is part of the Adirondack Mountains. The future of the mountain is in question as the former general manager has been convicted for theft of power services.
