Bridgehampton, New York

Bridgehampton is a hamlet in the South Fork of Suffolk County, New York, United States. The population was 1,756 at the 2010 census. Bridgehampton is in the town of Southampton. Shortly after the founding of Southampton in 1640, settlers began to move east to the area known by the Shinnecock Indians as Sagaponack and Mecox. At the head of Sagg Pond the hardy settlers established a community called Bullhead, later renamed Bridgehampton—after the bridge built across the pond.

Hampton Classic Horse Show

The Hampton Classic Horse Show (generally referred to as the "Hampton Classic") is a Grand Prix show jumping horse show in Bridgehampton, New York that is one of the biggest show jumping contests in the United States. Held over Labor Day in Southampton (town), New York, it is one of the biggest social bashes in the Hamptons scene and signals the grand finale of the summer season. In 2013, the show dates are Sunday, August 25 through Sunday, September 1.

Dunehampton, New York

Dunehampton is the name of a village that was proposed in 2003 to be incorporated along 5 miles of Atlantic Ocean beach between Southampton (village), New York and Wainscott, New York. The village would have included 200 houses, 1,730 acres, taking in Julie and Channel Ponds at the western edge of Southampton Village and much of Sagg Pond to its eastern end at the border with East Hampton (town), New York.

Bridgehampton (LIRR station)

Bridgehampton is a station along the Montauk Branch of the Long Island Railroad. It is located at Maple Lane and Butter Lane, in Bridgehampton, New York. The LIRR also includes the fact that the station is 1/4 mile north of Montauk Highway as part of the official address. Bridgehampton station opened in June 1870 for the Sag Harbor Branch, and was burned to the ground on July 6, 1884. Another station replaced it the same year, and on June 1, 1895 began to serve the Montauk Extension.

WBAZ

WBAZ is the callsign of an adult contemporary radio station licensed to Bridgehampton, New York and serving the east end of Long Island and southeastern Connecticut. The station is owned by Long Island Radio Broadcasting (a division of Cherry Creek Radio) and broadcasts on 102.5 MHz with 6 kilowatts ERP from a tower in Southampton. It is not to be confused with long-defunct Top 40 WBAZ-AM 1550, which served the upstate city of Kingston during the 1950s from a tower on Sawkill Road.
