Adirondack County is a proposed new county in New York to be formed out of town of North Elba of Essex County and other surrounding towns that have economies based on tourism. Lake Placid Winter Olympic Museum
The 1932 & 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympic Museum, sometimes referred to as the Lake Placid Winter Olympic Museum, in Lake Placid, New York, commemorates the 1932 Winter Olympics and 1980 Winter Olympics, which were based in the village. It is the only Olympic museum in the United States and is a part of the work of New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority in the Lake Placid Olympic Region. Lake Placid is the only North American city to have hosted two separate Winter Olympics.
